There are moments and encounters believed to be fortunate or coincidental in nature, which, as time passes, are revealed to be not so coincidental at all, but prove that the right things can and will happen at the just the right time. However, it's always fortunate when some musicians, coming from different musical backgrounds, come together and hold a live jam-session just for the fun of it - dazzling on-lookers and even themselves. A partnership is soon formed, songs are written and the real fun begins finding mutual ground.
That.s somewhat how NO TV came to life: Madi - guitarist, Peter - drummer, and Barnaby - bass-guitarist have already found mutual musical territory in 2002 during a successful gig - of course previously they.ve spent years getting used to each other as session-musicians playing for a variety of artists - after which it became obvious that a band must be formed. In 2002 Madi finally decided to bring NO TV to life. Things were not easy - a singer had to be found with a voice strong enough to be able to deal with the very loud, and very tight rock-guitar riffs, and drum-grooves. That's when Alex, a singer who could also take part in writing, came in to the picture.
NO TV activated itself in 2005 by recording a demo compiled of 11 tracks, and signing a deal with Schubert Music. Studiowork continued through the summer with producer Steve Lyon, who has previously worked with such acts as Depeche Mode, The Cure, and Soul Asylum. A 4-song debut maxi-CD was made, which, we strongly believe, is worthy of the international market. Rock-music at it.s best - harsh guitars, tight beats, and a singer with a mission. Among influences are Incubus, Staind, and even Faith No More. All signs show that mutual ground has been found.
